SOUTH CUMBRIA
MUSICAL FESTIVAL
2011

LIST OF RESULTS

This year's Adjudicator (Mr. Gareth Green) remarked upon the unusually high general standard of the performances, and although the offerings prepared by students of DP Music Services showed the customary high standard of preparation and musical skill, it is true to say that in general we were outclassed by competitors from other areas. Given the circumstances our students shone more noticeably than usual, as we were well able to compete with higher-calibre competitors, and come off without any disgrace whatsoever. I was well impressed that, despite the competition, they were still able to put in very well-prepared, musical performances that were clearly classified in the highest categories by the Adjudicator. Every item presented came over as as real entertainment, and as always each performer acquitted themselves impressively. My personal thanks go to all involved!
