Students are free to work through 'Theory by Post' at a pace that is suitable for them. This means that a student can, if desired, take a break between modules if it coincides with an intensifying of his or her personal schedule causing undue pressure for a time. This is a most beneficial aspect of the course, but it also means that all students need to be sufficiently self-disciplined to re-commence their course work as soon as is possible, otherwise the value of work already done may be nullified. Students should ensure that under no circumstances should they cease from their course activities for more than four months at a time, and if a student foresees a 'break' being necessary, it would be appreciated if DP MUsic Services is contacted and informed of the decision of the student, and the reason. The best rule is to 'keep going' unless a break is absolutely necessary, as on the whole breaks do not help students to fulfill their highest potential.
